Dreams of Grandma


* I saw a glimpse of heaven, the afterlife, the world of the souls. I was looking for Grandma. There was a man. I asked him where Grandma was. The man told me she was in the light, resting in the warmth of heaven, in the afterlife, between life and death. I saw her body lying still. I saw her spirit joyous and peaceful in the golden-white light. Corkey was with her.

* It was a beautiful day. The light was streaming in through the windows. Grandma was there in the sunroom at Debby’s house. She was wearing her flowery dress again that I had seen her in before. She was smiling and happy. She could walk without a walker, like she used to be able to before she got sick or her knees gave her pain. She looked taller and walked with ease. She was talking to me. She called me by my nick name, “Dala”. She smiled at me lovingly and asked me how things were at school and in life. I began to cry as I watched her. Tears ran down my face, tears of sadness for her death. Even though she was standing before me, I knew she had passed over to the other side. She looked beautiful. She talked to me without a sound. She was free of pain and filled with joy. Whenever I see her in my dreams she is always wearing the same beautiful flowery dress.

* I saw her but she couldn’t hear me. A door was opened for me to see into the other realm, the other side. She was beautiful and healthy. Her white hair shimmered in the sunlight. She was walking through a garden. I was calling to her, speaking to her, but she couldn’t hear me…

* Grandma visited me. She came into my bedroom. She started taking my drawings off my wall to make room for one of hers she had brought for me.

* She was alive, or maybe just visiting me in her present state. She was smiling, happy. Love was resonating as usual from her sun-ray aura. It was like she was filled with morning light.

* I was helping Grandma to choose a dress from her closet. I asked her if it would remind her too much of grandpa. She said that it didn’t matter, for she thought about him every day anyhow.

* I saw her sitting in her chair and smiling. It was more of a memory then a visit. I remember thinking, “It seems like she’s really there, alive, although I know it’s just a vision.”

* I was dancing with Grandma in my dreams. I held her hands and we danced.
